European Intercultural Exchange Project

The MAIART - European Intercultural Exchange Project aims at exploring other cultures and traditions .

Through fun and interactive activities, the participants broaden their knowledge and understanding  of other cultures and also have the chance to exchange their experience, work in teams  and participate in cultural themed activities.

Target Audience

Exchanges are open to young people from 14 to 30 years old, living in Europe. However, each exchange can have a specific age range depending on the theme and the purpose of each session of this project.

When?

It’s happening during the summer school  vacation. Intercultural exchange programs last between 7 to 14 days on average.

How?

Cultural Artistic Association MAIART is a partner of other organizations and institutions throughout Europe, with which we conceive and organize projects.

The group of young people who travel to the destination country are accompanied by the project leader who knows and coordinates the group throughout the entire exchange program experience.

Each session is carefully planned in advance, the activities being customized based on it's objectives and aims. The schedule is going to be closely followed throughout the entire duration of the project.

Objectives and Activities

The main objectives of this project which we want to accomplish are cultural exchange and non-formal education between young individuals from European communities and beyond. This can be translated into the acceptance of other nationalities through cooperation, tolerance and respect for different cultures - this being the foundation of a sustainable future.

In the long term, the main objective is to facilitate the creation of a global partnership for sustainable social and economical development  through collaboration and common objectives.

The activities are interactive and educational. They match the theme of the exchange session, which can relate to :  culture, art, non-formal education, science, sport etc.

Expenses

 The participation costs are composed of the international travel ticket and stay (meals and accommodation), which depending on each session can be:

Supported entirely by the participant;
Partially payed by the organizing institution;
Fully financed by the organizer through different sponsorships or other financial lines;
